Pat Walzel graduated with honors in 1992 from UTMB Galveston, TX with a BS in Physician Assistant Studies. Her fellowship, which was sponsored by the American Academy of Physician Assistants, was completed in Liver Disease in 2001.

Pat is the first person most patients see when they come in for screening for either a colonoscopy or an upper endoscopy. Under the supervision of a physician, Pat cares for patients with Hepatitis C during treatment and afterwards with follow up visits. She also sees patients with other GI problems as requested by the physicians.

Pat received the Savvy Award for recognition for volunteer work with the children at MD Anderson Hospital in 1985. P.A., University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, TX, 1992
